When the Drilling fluid shaker is operating, the two motors rotate in opposite directions in synchronization, generating opposing excitation forces in the exciter. These forces compel the screen frame to move longitudinally, causing the material on the screen to be periodically thrown forward by the excitation force within a certain range, thereby completing the screening process. The Drilling fluid shaker is suitable for screening sand and gravel in quarries and can also be used for product classification in industries such as coal preparation, mineral processing, building materials, power generation, and chemical engineering.
The working part of the Drilling fluid shaker in oilfields is fixed, and the material slides along the working surface for screening. The fixed grid screen is widely used in mineral processing machines and is generally employed for pre-screening before coarse or medium crushing. It has a simple structure and is easy to manufacture. It does not consume electricity, and the ore can be directly discharged onto the screen surface. Its main drawbacks are low productivity and low screening efficiency, typically only 50–60%.
Operating characteristics of oilfield drilling fluid shaker
①. The excitation force is generated by block eccentricity, resulting in a strong excitation force.
②. The screening beam and screening box are fabricated using high-strength bolts, featuring a simple structure and convenient, quick maintenance;
③ A tire coupling is used, providing flexible connection and smooth operation;
④. The machine features a small-amplitude, high-frequency, large-inclination design, resulting in high screening efficiency, large processing capacity, long service life, low power consumption, and low noise levels.
Before starting the machine, verify that the supplied safety guard has been removed. Inspect all locking components to ensure they are securely fastened. Check that the screen mesh on the screening deck is tightly compressed. Examine the connections between the rubber pads and the screen frame and side frames. Verify the connection between the vibration motor and the screen body. Inspect the vibration motor itself. Measure the supply voltage. Check the interlock control device for the vibration motor. Remove the motor end cover and confirm that the relative phase angles of the sector blocks are consistent; then tighten the securing screws on the sector blocks. The installation angles of the two motors must be identical. Inspect the hose connections at the feed and discharge ports to ensure they are properly sealed—do not overtighten, as this could cause kinking when the screen body moves. During no-load trial operation, ensure there is no collision or abnormal noise between the screen body and the side frames. Check the amplitude: while the screen body is performing reciprocating linear motion, there should be no deformation or other abnormalities. After 10–15 minutes of operation, use a wrench to tighten the bolts on the drive mechanism.
Drilling fluid shakers for oilfields are available in three material options: all-stainless steel, all-carbon steel, and stainless steel screen mesh with a carbon steel base. Stainless steel is hygienic and durable but relatively expensive; carbon steel is less robust. These shakers can perform simultaneous or multi-layer screening with 1 to 6 layers, resulting in clearer material grading. Screen replacement is quick and easy. In the screening of granular materials, screen damage is inevitable, so rapid screen replacement is an effective way to improve efficiency. Of course, you can also opt for drilling fluid shakers with more durable screens, which reduce long-term maintenance costs. The shaker is compact and lightweight, easy to move, and its materials ensure a longer service life. Its operating principle is that the vibration motor provides sufficient power to drive the screening machine, causing it to vibrate. Material smaller than the screen openings falls through to the lower layer under the action of vibration, thereby achieving layered separation.
