Every item has its inherent value, and in our daily lives there are numerous things and products that we simply cannot do without. Similarly, in the industrial sector, a wide array of machinery and equipment plays crucial roles across various fields. Oil Drilling Solid Control Equipment This holds true as well—today we’ll walk through the operational workflow of oil-drilling solids-control equipment. If you’re interested, keep reading!

 Oil Drilling Solid Control Equipment

In the operational workflow of oil-drilling solids-control equipment, the mud-purification process addresses the relatively high solid-content in the drilling fluid returning from the wellhead. To reduce this solid content, a series of treatment units are employed, including shakers, degassers, desanders, desilters, medium-speed centrifuges, and high-speed centrifuges. As this stage constitutes a pre-treatment step for the drilling fluid, the quality of mud treatment at this stage directly impacts the subsequent processing steps; therefore, each individual unit in this stage must be rigorously controlled. Following purification, the concentration of harmful solids in the drilling fluid is significantly reduced, enabling the fluid to be recycled. At this point, the mud pump can directly draw in the treated fluid, thereby meeting the requirements of the drilling operation.

In the workflow of oil-drilling solids-control equipment, once the drilling operation has specific mud requirements, the mud must be re-formulated. After the purification process is completed, the mud is routed to the distribution chamber. Chemical slurry is drawn from the chemical-mixing tank by a shear pump; the chemicals added from the mixing hopper are repeatedly sheared and blended, after which the resulting mixed slurry can be either injected into the slurry storage tank or directly into the mud pipeline. When necessary, a mud pump may be used to force the slurry into the high-pressure manifold at the wellhead.

Oil Drilling Solid Control Equipment In the pressure process of the work flow, if it is necessary to increase the density of the drilling mud, a certain amount of barite must be added. The specific operating principle is as follows: the weighting mud pump draws the mud from the weighting hopper and then, via the weighting funnel, mixes in barite and other weighting materials before delivering the treated mud to either the weighting hopper or the mud storage tank for storage. When the mud pump is in operation, the mud can be injected into the wellhead through the high-pressure manifold. In various mud solid-control systems, the mud pump’s water-supply pipeline runs through all the mud tanks. To facilitate mud storage, each mud tank is equipped with a bottom valve; this valve can be connected to the water supply system. With regard to the switching and control of the mud tanks, the mud pump can, according to actual construction conditions, inject mud into any designated mud tank.
