  How to maintain Oil Drilling Solid Control Equipment The vibrating screen in it?

  As a widely used piece of mechanical equipment, the vibrating screen is indispensable in virtually every industry. So, how should the vibrating screen in oil-drilling solids-control equipment be maintained?

  How to maintain the shale shaker in oil drilling solids-control equipment?

  I. Pre-Startup Maintenance of the Vibrating Screen:

  (1) Inspect the vibrating screen and remove any debris that may impede its operation.

  (2) Inspect all lubrication points of the electric drive mechanism and the vibrating screen transmission mechanism to ensure adequate lubricant supply. Lubricate the moving bearings with grease and fill the bearings with oil, ensuring that the oil level does not exceed two-thirds of the bearing capacity.

  (3) The screen must maintain adequate tension and secure fixation; any loosening or unevenness in screen tension, as well as surface undulations, can have adverse effects and shorten the screen’s service life.

  (4) All bolted connections shall be fully tightened.

  (5) Inspect the tension of the vibrating screen drive belt to prevent slippage and ensure the vibrating screen operates normally.

  (6) Inspect the sealing strips; if wear or defects are found, they should be replaced promptly.

  (7) Inspect the feed box connections for looseness. If excessive clearance develops and leads to collisions, the equipment may be damaged.

  (8) Inspect the power cables, fuses, and starting device to ensure they are in proper working order. Start the vibrating screen and run it under no-load conditions for 2–3 minutes. During this period, verify that the vibrating screen is operating normally and that the screen mesh is vibrating consistently.

  (9) Inspect the screen support structure; if rubber pads or springs are found to be damaged or excessively compressed, replace them promptly.

  II. Maintenance of the Vibrating Screen During Startup:

  (1) Feed the material onto the screen in the direction of its movement, ensuring as uniform a distribution as possible across the entire screen surface. Overloading is not permitted.

  (2) Inspect the heating level of the main bearing; the maximum allowable temperature rise is generally 45–50°C above ambient room temperature.

  (3) Check whether the vibration of the vibrating screen is stable. If the mounting frame exhibits abnormal vibration, impact, or sway, the machine should be shut down immediately and properly adjusted.

  III. Maintenance of the Vibrating Screen After Operation:

  (1) The vibrating screen may only be stopped after the feeder has completed feeding.

  (2) Remove dirt and oil from the vibrating screen, and promptly clean and repair the screen mesh. When the screen is blocked, it must be dislodged using a hook—never by striking it with a hammer.

  1. Poor screening quality

  (1) Causes: screen mesh openings are clogged, the number of feed items increases, the moisture content of the feed material rises, feeding is uneven, the material layer is too thick, and the screen mesh is not tightened sufficiently.

  (2) Treatment methods: reduce the vibrating screen’s load, adjust the screen frame’s inclination angle, optimize the feed rate by decreasing the feed, and tighten the screen mesh.

  2. Fault: The vibrating screen is operating normally but rotating slowly.

  (1) Cause: The drive belt is loose.

  (2) Troubleshooting method: Tighten the drive belt.

  3. Fault: Bearing overheating

  (1) Causes: insufficient lubrication of the bearing, bearing blockage, and bearing wear.

  (2) Troubleshooting methods: lubricate the bearing, clean the bearing, inspect and replace the seal, and replace the bearing.
