The Drilling fluid shaker features high vibration intensity, large screening area, adjustable angle, compact structure, and excellent performance. It is widely used in mud purification and treatment for oil drilling, trenchless horizontal directional drilling, CBM drilling, shale gas drilling, river silt, and other applications.
During operation, the two drive motors rotate in synchrony, generating excitation force in the impact mechanism. This forces the screen box to drive the screen mesh in a longitudinal reciprocating motion, subjecting the material on the screen to impact and periodically flinging it forward over a defined range, thereby achieving the screening function. This equipment is suitable for solid–liquid separation in drilling fluids, as well as for product classification in coal preparation, mineral processing, building materials, chemical engineering, and other industries.
Uses of the Drilling fluid shaker
When the drilling fluid is circulated, the Drilling fluid shaker must vibrate continuously; otherwise, it cannot remove the cuttings.
1. The drilling fluid flows through most of the screen pipe area. If the drilling fluid can only cover the screen mesh, the screen used is too large;
2. If a hole appears in the Drilling fluid shaker, it must be repaired or replaced. For flat screens, the hole can be patched. According to the installation application design provided by different manufacturers, the screen mesh can be installed. When the drilling fluid flows through the mesh openings on the screen, the drill cuttings cannot be separated and collected;
3. The screen must be replaced as soon as possible. The Drilling fluid shaker stops running during the replacement, reducing the removal of solids from the drilling fluid;
4. Before beginning the screen replacement, lay out the necessary tools and have the new screen ready; if conditions permit, an assistant may be assigned.
5. If feasible, in certain emergency situations, the screen in the borehole may be replaced, the pump may be shut down or its speed reduced, and drilling operations may be halted.
6. To extend the service life of the screen mesh under tension-free conditions, it is essential to ensure that the mesh tension is properly maintained throughout every working component of the system.
7. Inspection Drilling fluid shaker The operating environment of isolation components and the support system components of the screen mesh should be promptly replaced if no damage or excessive wear has occurred.
8. Water shall not be added directly into the storage tank or on the screen of the Drilling fluid shaker; water can only be added in the downstream process.
9. The entire process must pass through the Drilling fluid shaker unless there is a circulation loss, even if the shaker is bypassed for a short period of time;
10. Clean the screen before each startup to prevent drilling fluid from coating the dry screen.

By continuously optimizing the vibration screening index, solid particles can be effectively separated from drilling fluid; however, this approach often shortens the service life of the screen mesh and the vibrator-driven screen box. To address this issue, a three-translation-elliptical vibrating screen was designed and developed. In this design, the throwing index at every point along the screen box—from the inlet to the outlet—can be progressively reduced without altering the sand-carrying velocity, thereby significantly enhancing both the processing capacity of the drilling fluid and the effectiveness of the separation process. These are the key advantages of the two-translation-elliptical vibrating screen.
