The working surface of a Drilling fluid shaker in an oilfield consists of horizontally arranged rolling shafts. Plates are mounted on the shafts, and fine particles pass through the gaps between the rollers or plates. Bulk materials are conveyed by the rollers toward one end and discharged from that end. Concentrators rarely use such screens. In a Drilling fluid shaker in an oilfield, the working part is cylindrical, and the entire screen rotates around the cylinder’s axis, which is typically installed at a slight angle. Materials are fed into one end of the cylinder, fine particles pass through the screen holes on the cylinder’s working surface, and coarse particles are discharged from the other end.

The cylindrical shaker has a very low rotational speed, operates smoothly, and features good dynamic balance. However, its screen holes are prone to clogging, resulting in low screening efficiency, a small working area, and low productivity. It is rarely used as a screening device in mineral processing plants. The drilling fluid shaker in oilfields oscillates or vibrates in a plane. According to the trajectory of its planar motion, it can be classified into linear motion, circular motion, elliptical motion, and complex motion. Shaking tables and shaking screens belong to this category. Oilfield drilling fluid shaker During operation, two motors are synchronously mounted in opposite directions, generating opposing excitation forces that drive the screen frame to perform longitudinal motion, causing the material on the screen to move periodically. The excitation force then propels the material forward a certain distance, thereby completing Material screening operation. The vibrating table employs a crank–connecting rod mechanism as its transmission component. The motor drives the eccentric shaft to rotate via a belt and pulley system, causing the machine frame to reciprocate in a specified direction through the connecting rod.

Due to the vigorous motion of the screen surface, the rate at which materials pass through the screen openings is accelerated, thereby achieving high productivity and screening efficiency (typically 80%–85%); Drilling fluid shakers have a wide range of applications in oilfields, being suitable not only for screening fine particles but also for medium-coarse and coarse particles. (The screen opening sizes range from as large as 100 mm to as small as 0.2–0.5 mm.) In addition, they can be used for dewatering and desliming operations; when screening viscous, wet ores, the screen openings are less likely to become clogged, resulting in better performance compared with other types of screens; drilling fluid shakers feature a simple structure and are easier to operate and adjust; moreover, they consume less electricity per ton of material.

The oilfield drilling fluid shaker is a type of mechanical equipment suitable for dry screening of difficult-to-screen wet, fine-grained materials. It features large amplitude, high vibration intensity, low frequency, and an elastic screen surface. During operation, it consistently maintains a high open area, resulting in high screening efficiency, large processing capacity, easy screen replacement, and reduced costs. With its large screen surface and high processing capacity, the oilfield drilling fluid shaker can meet on-site production needs. Its screening structure employs a multi-stage vibrating screen surface, with the screen box and frame remaining stationary during vibration, thereby enabling large-scale screening.

Screening equipment also includes fixed screens, cylindrical screens, flat oilfield drilling fluid shakers, and coarse probability screens.

It mainly consists of a screening box, an exciter, a suspension (or support) system, and an electric motor. The motor drives the exciter’s main shaft to rotate via a V-belt, causing the screening box to vibrate due to the centrifugal inertial force generated by the unbalanced masses in the exciter. By adjusting the eccentric weight of the exciter, different vibration amplitudes can be obtained.

Oilfield drilling fluid shaker The main advantages are:

  1. The vigorous vibration of the screening box reduces material blockage of the screen openings, resulting in high screening efficiency and productivity.

  2. Simple structure, easy to disassemble and replace the screen surface.

  3. Low electricity consumption per ton of screened material.
